The Living Library

The Living Library is one of the two most prominent centers of learning on Yuna. The Library sits on a single large shard with the building taking up all of the available space and extending up four floors. Various terraces and patios dot the landscape giving visitors places to read. At least that's what it looks like on the outside. Inside it is a sprawling maze of chambers and collections. Older Librarians report that a century ago the Library was only five floors with two dozen chambers but it has now grown to seven floors and three dozen chambers including three sub basements.
Librarians are constantly collecting new books for the library and others just seem to appear on shelves.
The Library is nominally a neutral entity devoted to collecting knowledge via books, scrolls, and other media. There are even librarians who specialize in recording oral history and stories to be added to the Library's collection.
Anyone can request a library card which involves both a short magically backed questionnaire to ascertain trustworthiness and accept a tracking sigil in the event of overdue books.
The Beneficent Order Of Keys and Scrolls serve as the Librarian-Priests of the Library.
Rivalry with the Scholomance In general, there is a rivalry between the Living LIbrary and The Scholomance . This can be boiled down to both wanting the same resources. Sometimes this can be peacefully resolved while other times it has led to outright conflict between the two sects. In general, whenever a Scholar and a Librarian come into the same area, bystanders become wary until it is shown the two can exist together without coming to blows. It's about a fifty-fifty chance either way.
