The Scholomance

The Scholomance one of the two most prominent centers of learning on Yuna. While The Living Library focuses on the gathering and preserving of knowledge, the Scholomance is a university dedicated to teaching, learning, and creating new ideas.  Its attendants are referred to in general as Scholars though some may take on role specific titles such as Professor, Dean, et cetera. 
The Scholomance itself is a made up of a large central shard housing the original Scholomance and a large collection of satellite shards all connected by various types of bridges from simple rope all the way up to marble arches. Hundreds of years ago, the Scholomance was the one original building which dated back to before the Shattering. Over time as more focused scholariums, colleges, and schools were added it became the web of shards seen today.
Almost any field of study can be found at the Scholomance with new departments being announced every few months as enough interest is shown in it or a new branch has been merged into the larger body of the Scholomance. Additionally, the Scholomance is one of the largest patrons of research on Yuna with many of its Scholars traveling or stationing themselves wherever is best for their research.
Rivalry with the Living Library In general, there is a rivalry between the Scholomance and The Living Library . This can be boiled down to both wanting the same resources. Sometimes this can be peacefully resolved while other times it has led to outright conflict between the two sects. In general, whenever a Scholar and a Librarian come into the same area, bystanders become wary until it is shown the two can exist together without coming to blows. It's about a fifty-fifty change either way.
