Gravesend Bounty Board

Missing Villagers

Lady Ilene and Lord Harys are offering a 1,000g reward for each of the following villagers from Blackwater that are returned to Gravesend saftely. We believe that were taken by the bandits and may have been in the custody of the Hell Howlers at one point. The should be returned to Captain Quin at the guardhouse promptly upon return. A list of missing villagers can be found below. (Not a session)     Micah Malbech, Sita and Rissa Gambol, Andrea and Retta Stone, and finally Matt Gyles.     -Captain Quin

Visya and the King

We’ve dealt with the immediate threat, now it’s time to get ahead for once. We face enemies on two fronts, the Demons wandering around which we all know need dealing with, and the Church who is under all our noses setting up to claim Renvere under the guise of a coming war.     They’ve already begun taking strategic locations for the coming conflict. They have thousands of troops stationed at the Venatos Monastery, calling it a training maneuver, but really they are just staging their troops for when the time comes to strike. Meanwhile they’ve got Malaster under their thumb through Hal and his alliance with the Bishop, a former Hell Howler. Now Hal claims to be the chosen champion of Veritas and in no time the city will be beyond the Kings influence, if it isn’t already, which it is. Malaster is a major axis of power for the king, and its alliance with the church ain’t good.     And as they gain strategic locations they’ve begun seeding discord and shit amongst the towns of the kingdom, funneling weapons through the scrappers in the mountains to arm the fanatics that lead to the uprising in Sweetwater, the same uprising that got Ol’ Sixstars killed.     Now we get word that the King has fallen ill after taking audience with the public? Not good.     -X (Stiks)

Reclaiming the Isle

A message arrives at the bastion, written on Runidiri papyrus, carried by an owl.     Friends and allies of Bastion, I call upon you to aid us in reclaiming Bear Isle and freeing Artos, the bear spirit, from the grasp of the demon Malice and his allies. We have been attempting to scout the isle over the past few months, however most of our animal companions capable of making it to the isle without notice have perished shortly after before they are able to get any real intelligence on the enemy, until now. Through the great sacrifice of Tasik, the companion of Soaring Sky, we have learned of the true depravity and danger taking place on the isle. The demon Malice has slowly been corrupting the lands, from the inner parts of the isle out, turning the once lush fey forest, into a thorny maze of death and agony. He has raised the dead and turned all living things that remained there to his evil machinations.     In addition, there appear to be Hellmouths, gates to Hell, in three different locations along the north, south, and eastern part of the isle, and the demons that have assembled there are innumerable, but we believe them to be multiple thousands of them, and they have begun to construct ships from the isle twisted woods. Each day more slowly filter through the portals from the damned plane. The western side of the isle has also completely been covered in frost and ice, seemingly to sate the needs of a portion of the demonic host that are more adapted to cold environments.     Lichentusk, through his contact with the young Halueth of the Telamons, has secured several ships that will carry our three hundred or so most elite warriors and druids, alongside our most powerful spirits to the isle, where we seek to reclaim it. This is a bold, but dangerous move, one that I have warned Roaming River against, but young Lichentusk has his ear now, and the will of our people.     I fear that although our warriors and the spirits are vastly more powerful than the rank and file demons, when it comes to the more powerful ones we may be more of a liability than we would be helpful. I am asking any of those willing to come to our aide and fight alongside us, bringing any allies that you may have as well. Our forces can at least be a distraction for the masses, but we need more powerful allies to move behind enemy lines, striking at their leaders, and to close the Hellmouths. As of right now, only three of us are capable of closing a Hellmouth, Roaming River, Soaring Sky, and myself, and I fear that Roaming River has lived most of his life working on civil matters, and Soaring Sky is of a great age. If this mission is to succeed, we will need more help, and it will not come from Sylvara in time. I can delay the attack for some time, but the longer that we wait, the demon host slowly grows.     In return for your aide, I can offer each of you the choice, a cache of significant gold, a small hoard of reagents, or a powerful Runidiri artifact of your choice. Send word to the Stonespire when you have made a decision and formed a plan.     Thank you my friends, and if this is our last contact, it has been an honor to know you in this world. May we meet in the next.     Runidiri War Plan     Tranquil Stone, Archdruid of the Treemenders     [DM Note: This quest may be run in multiple sessions by multiple groups, as per Battle of Bastion.  Runidiri will launch their attack by Jan 1, 2024 if session not scheduled before that.]
