Rata Sum

Within the heart of a jungle the fortress city of Rata Sum, home to the enigmatic race known as the Asura, built of floating stone and glass this large city protects itself with magical shields and Golems to counteract any hostile forces.

Government

Rather than organized government, the asura prefer to utilize krewes: small, efficient task forces led by the most experienced member, designed to allow any individual asura to reach their maximum potential in any particular task. The asura also have a group known as the Arcane Council who are responsible for the mundane parts of asura city life. The members of this council rotate - membership into this council is granted by performing a task which benefits the asura as a whole. The role is rarely desired as it means an individual asura cannot spend time advancing one's own research.

Defences

The City is defended by a multitude of Golems, arcane shields and elemental projectile weapons as well as the cities confusing geological shapes confusing any enemy who makes it into the city.

Industry & Trade

The Asura are master of Science researching new ways into making the world better, the College of Dynamics building new ways of transport and machinery to help make life easier, greenhouses made to make more fertile and healthier plants while their industrial sector is pumping out resources that they can keep or trade to their neighbouring settlements.

Infrastructure

the city is built upon Arcane science, harvesting the environmental energies to give the city power as well as Hydroelectricity from their waterfall, the city is built within a Jungle near a large body of water so that the Asura's nutritional needs are met.

Guilds and Factions

Apart from the multitude of Krews the city is built upon the 3 mains Colleges of study, the Colleges of Dynamics, Statics and Synergetics, each College lays the groundwork for the Asuran Education and the research each Asuran Krew may be undertaking.

History

it was only 100 years ago when a Ruined Asuran Gate in a stretch of Jungle in the Durrani conclave relight spewing forth the Asura, without any place to go they built in only a few centuries the Fortress city of Rata Sum was complete, a magitechnological marvel, in that time they have defended from their surprised and angered Neighbours who's Land the Asura took as their own until an accord was struck, it was only 50 years ago that the Asura have made a middling peace with their neighbours supplying trade and helping defend the Conclave from the other Kingdoms.

Architecture

the Asura architecture is built around simple geological shapes, pyramids and diamonds for rigidity and strength with many other smaller floating buildings around central hub, using gates to travel between the floating districts.

Natural Resources

Rata Sum is situated within the Jungle giving ample tree cover for less light as well as ample flora and fauna for food and research, the city is built next to a large body of water with a fall helping to supply energy through hydrodynamics.
