Meluana (Me-loo-A-na)

(a.k.a. Sha-Li-Agara [Elvish], Simaura [Dwarven])

Meluana, Goddess of the Harvest, is the daughter of Luseidos and Rhya. She is the goddess of bountiful harvest. of food and health, and of the changing seasons. She had a child, a daughter, with Karos, who grew up during the First War of Ashes. According to legend, this daughter, called Unura, was lured by Azmodan to a distant grove to pick flowers for her mother, when Baphomet descended on her and murdered her, and together Azmodan and Baphomet feasted on her divine flesh, thus imbuying themselves with divine power. This tragedy so overwhelmed Meluana with sorrow, that a cold and unyelding winter fell, which lasted a century. It is claimed that each winter Meluana goes to visit the grove and weep for her daughter, and only when she returns does spring arrive.
