Thoran, God of Phauna & The Hunt

  • Description
In his primary form, Thorin is an awe-inspiring sight, an embodiment of nature's fierce and wild side. He appears as a towering creature, bearing resemblances to several apex predators. His muscular structure resembles a bear, lending him an imposing and powerful presence. The agility and grace of a panther can be seen in his movements, while the sharp senses and keen instincts of a wolf are evident in his gaze. A magnificent set of antlers, reminiscent of a stag in its prime, crown his head, a symbol of his dominion over the forests and its creatures. His vibrant orange fur, interspersed with intricate blue markings, only accentuates his divine nature, glowing softly under the moonlit canopy of the Feywild .   However, Thorin is also known to assume a more humanoid form when interacting with mortals. In this guise, he has the stature of an athletic man adorned with a mask made from a deer skull. This mask is radiant with bright orange and blue hues, with the antlers still prominent, symbolizing his deep connection to the animal kingdom.
  • Personality
Thorin is the embodiment of nature's untamed spirit—fierce, protective, but also nurturing. He values balance above all, teaching his followers the importance of respecting every life, whether predator or prey. While he acknowledges the circle of life and the necessity of the hunt, he insists it be done with honor and purpose, not for sport or cruelty. Compassionate and wise, Thorin offers guidance to those who seek to understand the wild and fosters a bond between the mortal realm and the mysteries of the animal kingdom.
  • Divine Realm
Sharing the realm of the Feywild with his brother, Aundriel, God of the Forest & Nature, Thorin's dominion is a vast, wild expanse teeming with creatures both known and mystical. Ancient trees with trunks wide as mountains, sparkling streams filled with fish that shimmer like gems, and meadows that glow under the starry sky depict the beauty of his territory. Hidden groves, sanctified by his power, act as refuges for creatures, where the wounds of both body and spirit are mended. In this realm, the line between beast and sentient being blurs, with creatures displaying heightened intelligence and awareness, a direct influence of Thorin's presence.
  • Worshippers
Many of Thorin's devout followers are druids, rangers, and beastmasters who find solace and purpose in his teachings. They form sacred circles in hidden groves and forests, learning the ancient ways of communicating with and understanding the animal kingdom. The clergy, blessed with Thorin's gift, often serve as mediators between communities and the wild, ensuring harmony and mutual respect.   Hunters who abide by Thorin's code often bear tattoos or amulets with his symbol, ensuring their hunts are conducted with honor. They believe that by following Thorin's teachings, they not only ensure a successful hunt but also strengthen their bond with nature.   Festivals dedicated to Thorin are a celebration of life and the intricate web of existence. They involve dances mimicking various animals, storytelling sessions that pass down wisdom from one generation to another, and feasts that honor the cycle of life.
