Sarthi

The ancient, long-extinct rulers of Manan, who once held all of known reality under their thrall. The Sarthi were said to alter life itself with the power of their ancient tongue. They supposedly had enlarged lower jaws and three tongues, meaning that no other species could master their language. Few could manage more than a few words of their magical speech, and such folk were marked for fates worse than death.
The Sarthi were overthrown and destroyed during the Great Galactic Revolution, said to have taken place ten thousand years ago. It resulted in the utter destruction of their civilization, including all records of their history, so nothing is truly known of their defeat.
