Utaku Hideyoshi

The Horse Master of Haven. A short, wiry, gray-haired man. He is one of the best horse-tenders alive today. He rescued as many horses from the stables of Heiwa Toshi as he could before the Confederate Army invaded. He helped to care for the beasts during the exodus. He has taken Utaku Akasha under his wing. He gives her sage, rough-spun wisdom.
His assistant is a heimin lad named Koji. They have a friendly, mentor-student relationship.
