A team of samurai set out from Haven to hunt the great beasts of the forest, and take revenge for the destruction of the logging camp, the death of several loggers, and Koganshi Arata, a vassal samurai to the Shiba   The party consists of the following people:

• Akodo Kosei Ide Miyoko Yamagata Koganshi Tamiko Kei, the Woodcutter Isawa Mamoru Toku Kazehime Two unknown Kintani Detectives Two unknown members of Red Company Four attendants

  The group fought a pair of juvenile saber cats, killing one and wounding the other, suffering no casualties themselves. Later they were ambushed by a pair of former Red Company members: Keiko and Takuma. Using magic and a Gaturing Gun. Both Kintanis and Red Company troopers were killed and everyone else suffered minor injuries. Keiko and Takuma was killed in the gunfight and Keiko was killed when the great stag known as the Forest King arrived. Seeking vengeance for the death of her father, Koganshi Tamiko stood and fought the stag, shearing off one of its antlers in a hail of gunfire and striking a fearsome blow against its underside. However, the Forest King grievously wounded her with the remaining antler and broke her spine with its hooves. She died as her father did, as the rest of the group escaped.
