Learning from Giant-Folk
Teachings of the Elves
From the elves they learned how to deeply appreciate nature in all its forms and beauty, and the detailed and intricate techniques the elves used for controlling and using magic. These men who would become the Owl clan dedicated several generations of scholars to learning from their elven teachers, so that they could pass on the full understanding imparted by their longer-lived peers.
Teachings of the Dwarves
From the dwarves they learned craftsmanship and a love of the earth and its bounty. As with the elves, multiple generations of students were sent to dwarven halls to grasp as much as possible of the fine details to be had in working precious metals, gems, and the shaping of stone. The men who would become the Owl clan also learned the value of seclusion from the dwarves, and respected the boundaries set by the giant-kin once the Age of Blood began.
Teachings of the Gnomes
From the gnomes they learned the joy of creation and the importance of innovation and preparation. It is also their interaction with the gnomes that gave the men who would become the Owl clan the patience they would need to deal with volatile situation and obsessive people, traits that would come in very handy during the War of Unification.Remove these ads.
