Watchers and Wanderers
The Dragon clan are always on alert, always on the lookout – although for what, few can or will reveal. A Dragon will almost always first look up when searching for danger, and it is a common feature of most Dragon homes to have a large and well-maintained window pointing at the sky in a place where it can be easily seen from inside.
The Dragon clan is also notoriously private. While individuals might be allowed into a given Dragon home on a case-by-case basis, for the most part outsiders are not welcome past very public and very well-observed areas of Dragon cities, markets, and even residences. Visitors to Dragon lands often report a creeping feeling of paranoia, not only from being under constant observation, but also sympathetically from the Dragon themselves.
Perhaps due to the caution of the Dragon, perhaps as another symptom of the same fear, the Dragon clan are fundamentally self-sufficient and mobile. Within the bounds of a given community, family, or organizational unit, each Dragon is expected to be able to fend for themselves, keeping tools, materials, supplies, and skills at hand in case they need to leave quickly.
This self-sufficiency and ease of mobility makes the Dragon clan consummate wanderers. Small groups of Dragon can be found roving the length and breadth of the Sjonderwold, taking notes and collecting resources.
