The Mordamatorian Theocracy

Subjects Of Dawn

The Mordamatorian Theocracy is run by the Priesthood of Dawn and is a strict society following the foundational guidelines of the Pantheon of Dawn and believe themselves to be the direct descendants of Manus Everbright. They have no military under their command, however, a chapter of the Priesthood of Dawn has taken it upon itself to cleanse ill-practices and blasphemous acts against the Dawn Pantheon, they are called, The Godsmen.
The Mordamatorian Theocracy is a pristine society, the roads of their cities are clean, and there is organisation and structure for all events of the day. Any backlash to the way of life within the borders of the Theocracy is met with divine consultation that almost always comes back as 'Punish the ill-believer'. Questioning the way of life of a Mordamatorian is equal to questioning the practices of their Pantheon.
Though not is all negative about the Theocracy, it is a safe country for those who follow the structure and offers great living and opportunities to the families within it. If one is willing to sacrifice their inherent questioning of the deities and instead devote themselves to the practices of the Dawn Pantheon then they will live a great fulfilling life. Everyone is kind to each other and no one needs to worry about political corruption. The Godsmen do a good job of providing safety and sufficient enforcement of the religious laws.

The Executioners of the Exiled Arcane

The primary enforcers of The Aether Prohibition find themselves playing the most prominent part in retrieving the very few and rare natural-born mages, The Aether. The Godsmen do the primary work of travelling across the lands to collect these children where they then bring them back to the Theocracy to have them dispatched. Rumours say that the Godsmen use godlike interference to cleanse someone of their natural magic, however, most know that the Aether, often babies, are killed. Everyone partakes in the silent genocide, and the Godsmen simply shoulder the burden of the pantheon's will.

Global Partnership

Regardless of how much the Theocracy view their government as perfect compared to others, other nations still actively hold good relationships with the Theocracy. As well as the benefit of the Kingsmen executing the most immoral of tasks, allegiance to the Theocracy shows allegiance to the gods. This is especially the case in Telmian relations as they often follow the Dawn Pantheons' practices. Although the Theocracy look down upon the Night Pantheon, they acknowledge the Night Gods as deities, just not so much the practices of the Night Pantheon ways.
Trade is rather simple for the Theocracy, providing Godsmen and nations will provide goods. It is a necessary trade-off for countries, and the Mordamatorian's smaller population means a split amongst the nations, they do not need to provide all too much. Markets are quite rare within the nation's borders with merchants often scared of the divine penalty for breaking even a small religious law without noticing and so the markets that do come through the nation are able to charge quite well leaving the Theocracy as a very high risk, high reward location for flaunting ones wears.
