Sergeant Markas Ironbrooke. Patriarch of Kord
Markas is a human Tempest Cleric of the Stormlord, and current member of the player character party. He wields the Vestige Honor's Last Stand. At five foot ten, Markas looms over some of his more diminutive party members. The brown-eyed boy with hair to match has an athletic build from years of military training. Taking the "Tempest" party of tempest cleric very seriously, Markas has a personality akin to a rolling thunderstorm. Doing what he thinks best in the moment, Markas can be unpredictable and explosive, even going as far to tell Kord off in what little prayer he's done. A former soldier and healer in the Righteous Brand, Markas became an outlaw and a fugitive after being chosen by the stormlord and granted power. As the Champion of an outlawed God, he was constantly on the run. Receiving what help he could from his comrades, he managed to smuggle himself off the continent with help from the Clasp and Myriad. Concerned for the safety of his sister, Lilliana, he sends her money when he can.
While on a journey in the underdark Markas became the wielder of the vestige of divergence Honor's Last Stand
Once Revived by The Stormlord, by request of The Uncaring, Markas saw an empty battlefield and a raging storm as a bolt of lightning struck him ending the vision. This particular battle had ended, but he still had more to come.
In an attempt to dedicate Crixus to the service of The Stormlord, Markas found his divine magic blocked by the power of The Ruiner. This was the first time the powers granted to him hadn't worked.
