Pact-Keeper Ozwald Mackenzie Medina Pearce II. The Great Storm
Oz is a Half-Elf Sea Sorcerer, and current member of the player character party. He wields the Vestige Soul of the Sea. One of the few full-sized members of the party, Oz's fair skin and slender features betray his elven heritage. Though months of sea travel have tanned his skin and lightened his brown hair slightly. Prone to gambling, and horrifically unlucky, Oz spends a great deal of his time poor despite his high birth. Dedicated to his friends Oz is willing to go to hell and back, or at least the fire plane, to save them. Born to a minor noble house in Wildemount Oz comes from a big family, owing his elven blood to his mother, a Syngorn native. Oz's family make their fortune trading exotic textiles all along the coast of Wildemount, though rumors have been surfacing that they have ties to the myriad. This trade afforded Oz frequent vacations all along the Menagerie Coast, and led to two of the most important moments in his life. The day he met Aileen, and the day his ship wrecked.
Oz became the wielder of the vestige of divergence Soul of the Sea after recovering it from a hydras lair.
After dying at the hands of the minions of The Necromancer, Oz was resurrected by The Wildmother, by request of The Uncaring, as the broken god was not powerful enough to do it alone. His vision tied his body with the sea and brought him great and familiar comfort among the waves.
During the parties trip to Vasselheim, Oz made a visit to the temple of The Wildmother, hoping to understand his vision. Though no such revelation came, a small puddle of salt water appeared before him, only to be absorbed into his hands when he attempted to touch it. Later while trying to recreate the phenomena, Oz had his close friend Crixus hold him under the water off the coast of Emon even while he struggled, Oz eventually began to black out convincing his party members that he had drowned. To everyone's surprise Oz instead took on a watery form similar to a magic he'd used in combat before, this time mingling with the ocean around him and finding great comfort.
In an attempt to prevent his brother Elijah from marrying the love of his life Aileen, Oz returned home to wildemount along with his friends, hoping to stop the wedding. While there they learned that Elijah had taken over the family business and hired the devil Malphas, to place a curse on his father, slowly killing him so Elijah could take full control. Not one to let his brother get away with it, Oz signed a counter deal to save his fathers life.
Though in a confrontation with Elijah later, he learned of crimes his father supposedly committed and was forced to cross his brother in battle as Elijah attempted to detain the party. The resulting conflict claimed both brothers lives, though only Oz was resurrected as Malphas did not press the claim on his soul.
When Oz and Elijah both died, Oz received a vision from The Deep One, an event that would later repeat. It is unclear what their relationship or connection to one another is, but the contact coincides rather closely with Oz's newfound warlock powers.

Oz once survived a shipwreck instilling in him not a fear, but rather a mysticism regarding the ocean. He later became cursed causing him to grow gills but lose the ability to swim, further adding to the superstition.
