Keepers of the Crystal
A religion revolving around Skyglass. Exploration, acquirement, experimentation (though not in those words because that would be forbidden), preservation, and worship of Skyglass. Self proclaimed mission is to protect the existence of Skyglass. Very popular religion even if belief varies. Highly influential organization as well.
Keepers of the Crystal are rather secretive about their organization and its goals, especially the higher rank a person holds. Those most prominent in the organization are called "Avatars of the Glass". They are held as the highest authority and supposedly speak for Skyglass.
Emphasis on respecting the wisdom of your elders, superiors, and those "more knowledgeable" than you.
They are one of two main sources of Crystal engineers. The organization teaches people how to handle and utilize Skyglass safely. As well as, Skyglass engines. However to attend the classes, first a person must be a member of the organization for a certain period of time. Then a person must be nominated by having received an invitation and/or make a petition to a council and justify why they should be chosen.
After the Lost Kingdom Fell, they became one of, if not the most, knowledgeable about Skyglass and its capabilities.
Keepers of the Crystal and the Church of the Grand Current Deity are amicable allies towards each other but also somewhat at odds. This is due to the two organizations missions and goals being ultimately different. They provide each other support when against the Confederacy, other countries, and other minimally persuadable organizations. In recent years the tension between the two groups has been increasing. Keeper of the Crystal have a tendency to be arrogant and look down upon others and their practices if they don't align with their own.
The organization is possessive of its members and knowledge. Very rarely do they let any of it leave willingly. For people who "forsake the faith", mainly leave the organization, there are always consequences for them. Possibly vaguely sexist?
The Crew's engineer is a former member who joined for the classes and then left once they finished them.

Amicable allies towards each other in the past. In recent years however, tension between the two has been increasing. Keepers of the Crystal mildly disdain the Church and their practices.
