Flying
Butterfly girls have a natural feeling for floating and flying. Even without flapping their wings, they are even to float due to their connection to the fairy queen and with that to the pink mist. To be able to fly fast or to transport objects or other persons, they need to use their wings thought. It is rare that a butterfly girl will walk. Most prefer a constant floating around or flying around. They only touch the ground when they are tired or when they sit or lay down to rest.Silk
Butterfly girls have a special organ in their throats. It allows them to create special silk that they can spit out of their mouth. The silk can have different properties, depending on the need of the butterfly girl. It can be sticky, very smooth, or thin enough to cut flesh. They use it as their main defense and offense. Mostly though, the silk is used to form their houses and structures in the forest. This often leads to the false idea that spider girls are living in the forest. The silk is nearly unbreakable, except for heavy heat or the butterfly girls themselves. Through special secretion, they are able to deform and destroy their silk.Silk Cocoon
Typical for insect girls, butterfly girls are able to form cocoons with their silk. They use these for diverse jobs. Their beds are often made out of special and very soft silk, forming an open cocoon around them. Additionally, they use their silk cocoons to trap others and reduce their movements to zero. They do this mostly for one out of three reasons. First, to transport the human safely and without the risk that they move too much or resist. Second, they use it to take prisoners, often combined with the friend powder. Third and most importantly, they use it for pure fun and for pranks.Friend-Powder
Sometimes, a butterfly girl wants to give a friend or a victim of a prank, the chance to live the life of a butterfly girl for a while. This is often done to see if that person is suitable for a permanent transformation. The human will be trapped in a silk cocoon. Then the butterfly girl will produce a special powder in her wings and spread this powder on the cocoon. The silk changes to a more sticky and hard variant, making escaping now impossible. The victim will slowly fall asleep and over the time of a week, their body changes to that of a butterfly girl, a temporary one. Meaning that they can navigate safely through the forest and that they are able to fly and have access to the basic silk and powder abilities, but they are unable to form contracts or to transform others. They also have no typical glow around their wings like the permanent ones have. The transformation lasts for several months, depending heavily on the amount of powder that was used.Sister-Kiss
The sister-kiss is a very intimate thing for butterfly girls. They do this only to the ones they trust most, they love most. It is an invitation to become a family. The butterfly girl will produce a very sweet and special nectar in their mouth. The chosen one then gets kissed. During the kiss, the nectar will slowly be given to the chosen one. As soon as the chosen one begins to drink, their fate is sealed. The nectar is very sweet and alluring, quickly becoming addictive. After a while, and with enough nectar in their belly, the chosen one will become tired and fall asleep rather quickly. The butterfly girl will now bring the sleeping ones to her home and place them in a safe location. Several hours later, the body of the chosen one begins to change. New pigments in their skin begin to produce silk, forming a cocoon around them. These pigments vanish after the full transformation and are only formed to produce the evolution cocoon. If the chosen one is already inside a cocoon, then the cocoon itself will be changed through the new silk. As soon as the cocoon fully encases the person, including their head, then the main transformation begins. During a time of 6 months, the body is slowly drained with the power of the forest and the fairy queen, resulting in heavy mutations. The wings grow out and the body becomes slim and gracile. Males are changing to females. After the incubation, the cocoon breaks open and the new butterfly girl awakes from her slumber. She has now a deep connection to the forest and her new queen. All habits and likings of the butterfly girls are now in her as well and even though she remained who she was, she was still changed. Memories of her past life seem not that important anymore as her new life is what is important. Her new life and her new big sister, the one that kissed her. The new butterfly girl will normally fly out and collect the best nectar and honey she can find to bring it to her sister as a gift, most often done via a kiss.Contract
A contract is a sacred ritual for the butterfly girls. It is rare to do it with a human, as most butterfly girls prefer to stay free of any participation in the normal world. The bond of a contract is only formed when both sides trust each other to a point where they tell each other any possible secret. These contracts are stronger forms of Soul Covenants with some additional effects for both sides. The contracted person will become a beacon for the butterfly girl. She can leave the forest for longer durations with her contracted person and even stay outside forever as long as she stays close to her beacon. It works for her like a refilling station, especially if body contact works effectively. In exchange, the contracted person is able to call their butterfly girl to them through a mental connection they share. The butterfly girl will try to help their contracted person with everything she can do and she will begin to bring gifts from the forest for her contracted person, mostly in the form of fruits. A contracted person is not safe from the pranks of the butterfly girl thought. To form a contract, both sides will lay their foreheads against each other. The butterfly girl will begin to breathe a special and slightly pinkish air out of her mouth, which then is breathed in by the contracting person. This goes on for several minutes. Slowly, both sides begin to feel each other and begin to trust each other more and more. In the end, the butterfly girl will kiss the contracted person and seals the contract with it. Both sides are able to feel the feelings of the other one, resulting in a bond that is stronger than the one between normal lovers. Their souls are now connected, a bond that can’t be destroyed. The butterfly girl will switch between the position on her contracted person side and her home in the forest through her shifting ability. Whenever her contracted person needs her or wants her by their side, she will come. On the other side, the butterfly girl will invite their contracted person to their shared home, which the girl builds with her silk. A contracted person shares a bond with the forest itself through their butterfly girl. The forest identifies them as a guest and allows them to navigate to and from the village of their butterfly girl. Any other locations are still closed off and they will need the help of their or any other butterfly girl to find it.Shifting
A butterfly girl is bound to the Blauaugenwald. She can shift to and from it whenever she wants. Shifting means dematerializing her body at one location and materializing it at the other one. In fact, it is teleportation. The butterfly girl can only shift to several fixed points that exist in the forest. The biggest one is the center of the lake in the middle of the forest, the place where her queen made the contract with the forest. She can also shift to her contracted person. A shift is only affecting herself, and anything that counts towards herself, meaning clothes and little accessories. People or bigger objects can’t be taken with her. Even her contracted person needs to move to the forest themselves.Sleep powder
Through the fruits and nectar of the forests, the butterfly girls are able to produce special powders with their wings. One of these powders is sleep powder. She can spread it with her wings over an area. Every breathing being that fills their lungs with it, will get very tired and then fall asleep. The duration of the sleep depends on the amount of powder they breathed in and the body measures of the person.Size changing powder
Through the fruits and nectar of the forests, the butterfly girls are able to produce special powders with their wings. One of the more famous ones is the size-changing powder. The affected person does not become younger or older, only their size is changed. A butterfly girl is able to produce the powder in her mouth in form of nectar to drink it herself. Through this, she can change her size whenever she wants. Clothes are affected by the powder as well.Basic Information
Anatomy
Butterfly girls are all young Human-like women. This means that they are a female-only species with no known male butterflygirls. They get their names from their colorful wings which closely resemble that of a butterfly, however, their wings do vary and can occasionally represent another insect, however, most do resemble a butterfly.
Their wings also glow just slightly, however, this glow isn’t shared by those under the effects of the ‘friend powder’ or the temporary butterflies. This is the most common way to tell the difference between a full butterfly and a temporary one. They don’t have a standard size as they often change their own size to suit their needs and desires. Though generally, they will either be as small as a doll for their tricks or as big as an average human for interacting with others.
They are able to extend their tongue to slurp out the nectar of flowers without hurting or damaging the plant. Some use their long tongues to play pranks as well. The maximum length is around 30 cm.
Genetics and Reproduction
Besides the ability of the "Sister Kiss", which let a butterflygirl transform another person into a member of her species, they also are able to become pregnant. This requires sexual interaction with a humanoid male of another species. As there are no male Butterflygirls, this means that if one wants a child, they will search for a male partner and bring them to their home. While most of these connections are voluntary and out of love for each other, a butterflygirl may also use tricks to lure a male she wants a child with into the forest and traps them within it. The male has then only the choice to either follow her wish or never leave the forest again.
The pregnancy of a butterflygirl is 9 months, the same as that of humans. The single child that is born is always female and always a butterflygirl, which automatically forms a contract with the forest of her mother, no matter where the child is born exactly.
Growth Rate & Stages
Young butterflygirls who are born from the pregnancy of their mothers, develop in stages instead of growing naturally as a human would. At the end of each stage, they form a cocoon around themselves and quickly grew in size and develop as a person. During each phase of growing up, between the cocooning, they learn about the world, and their abilities and developed themselves but are unable to grow in size or gain new abilities.
Baby
A baby butterflygirl is only interested in food and will nearly constantly eat. The mother can hardly satisfy her requirements for food and that of the baby at the same time, which is why most butterflygirl mothers will ask their family and her village for help during this stage, to at least get some sleep between the feeding. Baby butterfly girls are only able to consume honey, nectar, and the milk of their mothers. They have no wings yet and resemble heavily normal human babies. After around one year, and enough food they consumed, they will cocoon themselves and go over to the next stage.Child
After sleeping around three months in their cocoons, a baby butterflygirl will have developed into a child. These resemble 10-year-old humans in size and development. They have grown small wings, but are unable to fly with them yet. During this stage, they are extremely curious and adventurous, much to the dislike of most mothers. It is not uncommon that a butterfly mother will use most of her time during this stage in searching for her child, who once again escaped to explore their homes and the forests around them. During this stage, the child learns much about the forest and the culture of the butterflygirls. It takes around 12 years before they will cocoon themselves again to develop into a teenager.Teenager
The development from a child to a teenager in a cocoon only takes a month, but is the biggest change in their development. Their wings have fully grown and most abilities of butterflygirls become available for them except for the contracts. Teenagers are extremely playful and adventurous, often toying around with others and flying around in their homes. Similar to humans, they begin to detach from their mothers and take on their own first decisions. During this stage, they also will form their first romantic relationships. This stage generally takes around 7 years before they cocoon and become adults.Adult
Similar to a child towards a teenager, the cocoon is only taking one month before the butterflygirl has developed into a full adult. Now they are equal to the other butterflygirls and become full members of their societies. People that are transformed by Sister Kiss are starting as adults directly.Senior
In some rare cases, a very experienced and old butterflygirl may take another step and develop into a senior. There is only a small percentage of the population who did this last step of development. Seniors are becoming the leaders of the villages they live in and are sharing their experiences with the other butterflygirls. They become calmer and often stay in their homes instead of exploring the world. Nevertheless, they still enjoy playing pranks, but instead of doing it in a short time, they plan their pranks over long periods and prepare their steps before finally playing the prank. These pranks of seniors can easily be played to whole villages or smaller towns outside of their homes and take years of preparation.Ecology and Habitats
Deep in forests, away from civilization, is the natural home of Butterflygirls. They prefer places with a high density of magic like the Blauaugenwald. Due to their magic, they form bonds with the nature around them, giving nature itself magical properties over time, slowly transforming areas into mystical places that deny physical rules. Due to their food requirements, butterflygirls naturally enjoy living close to Dryads and Alraunes and form strong partnerships with them, as both sides heavily benefit from each other and have similar goals and requirements of their habitat.
They form contracts with the forest they live in, binding themselves to it. It let them become stronger in their natural habitat and gives the forests themselves magical properties. The negative side is that they lose slowly their powers and energy while they are outside their forests, which results in the requirement to often visit their contracted forest to regain their powers and refresh themselves.
The villages of Butterflygirls resemble human villages, yet are often built with the help of their special silk. This gives their villages a more mystical appearance, as their houses can easily be built into the crowns of bigger trees or hanging in the air by threads of their silk. Some even prefer to use only their silk for their homes, creating structures that let people think that a giant spider may live there.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Butterfly girls love sweets and derive most of their nourishment from honey and nectar, due to this they have strong relationships with both the Alraunes and the Beegirls. Alraunes will reside in the forest under the protection of the butterfly girls, and on occasion, a group of bees will be escorted in by the butterflies and will collect the nectar and pollen in trade granting the butterfly girls some of the honey. Other products of nature like fruits and berries are often enjoyed by the girls as long as they taste sweet. All butterflygirls are herbivores and do not consume other living beings and do not eat meat.
Behaviour
The Butterfly girls are often seen as carefree and playful. They live close to nature and enjoy the rich flora and fauna around them. Curiosity is far spread in their population, especially in younger members of their species, which often leads to them exploring the areas around their homes. While younger ones explore and play little pranks with their magic, the older members of their species enjoy calm times and are very relaxed. The seniors of the butterflygirls are nevertheless enjoying playing pranks, yet theirs are far bigger in reach and planned and prepare for bigger impacts.
They are notorious tricksters with a fondness for bubble guns. Even with bubble guns being their favorite toys, all kind of items that let them enjoy a good prank is welcome by them. Their playful nature naturally draws them to anything that offers fun and allows them to play pranks with. The enjoyment for Magic Bubbles products is the most developed cultural enjoyment of them.
They are often willing to discard their lax nature to pull off a trick or to acquire new toys from citizens of the Slimean Lands. They will even work towards making or finding items to trade so they could get these toys.
Once they formed a Soul Covenant with others, they become unbelievably loyal toward that person. It is no master-servant loyalty, but more the one between very close friends.

Social Structure
While they have a queen, the Fairy Queen, they mostly live carefree lives without many rules. They do however value their queen and obey what few edicts she makes. Otherwise, they mostly protect the forest and have fun. They do however try not to cause any lasting harm to anyone and only do so with minor tricks and pranks.
They have a very complicated relationship with the outside world, while aware of the Queendom of Slimea, their carefree nature and inability to leave the forest sees that they do not participate often with most of Slimea. They however are very fascinated by all the fun gadgets and toys in Slimea, particularly bubble guns and trick gum.
As naturally tricksters desire such items for their tricks and games, and this sees them often seeing to trade for such items They do this by trading fruit from the forest, these fruits are very sweet and well-loved by people to the point of near addiction levels. They also have various properties thanks to the pink mist infusement of the forests, some will see the person who ate it starting to inflate like a balloon, transform into the other gender, and even induce a slumber. The butterfly girls have plenty to trade since while they can eat most things that humans can, they prefer to stick to a diet of honey and nectar.
Contracts
One of the most curious aspects of the Butterfly girl society is the contracts. Butterfly girls are able to form a ‘contract’ or bond with another entity, which is a strong form of a Soul Covenant. Most famous of this is the rumored contract between the Fairy Queen and the forest the contract supposedly allows the butterfly girls to exist within the world of Slimea. Contracts are only ever formed with people whom the butterfly trusts, it is both an important and rare occurrence to see a contract formed. Similar to their queen, Butterflygirls can form contracts with forests and create new mystical places. This requires much time and magical energy and power, which only very few have alone. The contract will allow a butterfly girt to leave the forest with their contracted partner using them as a ‘beacon’ to restore their energy outside of the forest. Protecting them from losing their strength and health from separation from the energy of the forest. However, this also opens them up to being summoned to their contracted person to assist in their goals. This teleportation is instant and believed to be extradimensional. As such it is impossible for the butterfly girl to transport large objects or people with them. While most butterfly girls live in little family houses in their villages, the ones that formed contracts will begin to build their own houses to live with their contracted person inside whenever they are in the forest. Some butterflygirls will try to lure their contracted person into the forest forever while others will love to discover the world with their contracted person.Geographic Origin and Distribution
Butterfly girls live in villages deep in the Blauaugenwald. Some live with partners they formed a Soul Covenant outside the forest, but the majority of the population lives in the forest. Due to the magical properties of their forest, it is near impossible to say how many live in that forest and where exactly their villages lay. Their villages range from a small collection of houses to centers of several hundred butterflygirls and inhabitants of other species who were invited by the forest itself.
Average Intelligence
Butterfly girls are no academics or big logical thinkers. They use everything they can get their hands on for pranks and a playful time cleverly, yet are not interested in boring stuff like mathematics or economics.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Butterflygirls have similar perceptions as Humans, yet they have added a sense for the health of the forest around them and the magical particles in the air. This means that they can feel the soul energy of people and of nature, which allows them to easily identify mystical places, infusements, and individuals with magic powers.
Civilization and Culture
History
Rumor is the first Butterfly Girl arrived through the pink mist. This butterfly girl is often referred to as the Fairy Queen. It is believed she first flied above Lake Blauauge , deep within Blauaugenwald. Why she chose this lake and this forest is unknown, same as the exact date of this happening. It must have happened sometime before 2018, as this year, the population of the area was transformed into the first Butterflygirls by the Fairy Queen and the new magical forest she created out of the Blauaugenwald.
It is said she created the first contract with the forest and lake, an exchange of protections, Blauaugenwald would be home to the Fairy Queen and her kin and they in exchange would protect and care for the forest. After the appearance of the Fairy Queen, the forest slowly became more and more mystical and pink mist infused. Those who wandered in would either become lost and reappear several days later at the edge of the forest without any memories, or become trapped by the butterfly girls transforming them into more butterflies.
After many attempts by the Slimean government, the Fairy Queen eventually spoke with diplomats from Slimea. The results of the talk were an acknowledgment of the forest belonging to the Fairy Queen and the butterfly girls in exchange they would abide by the rules of Slimea to better coincide with the other citizens. The Fairy Queen had no problem agreeing with it, as she had no intent to bring harm to anyone. It also allowed for trading to be established allowing the butterfly girls to get ahold of their most coveted bubble guns.
