Merge

Written by Drackzahn

Definition

A merge is the union of two or more Souls in the same, single body. All people still exist in this one body and can communicate telepathy with each other. While they are in the same body, they have access to each other's emotions, and memories and share common sense with each other. Each soul influences all others in the same body and strong emotions can flow over to the other souls.

Outcomes

During a typical merge, there are different kinds of outcomes depending on how the parties interact with each other.

Domination

In one case, one side is dominating the other with either willpower or magical help. The dominating soul controls the body and can put the other soul(s) in the backseat, letting them only observe what is happening while having no influence over it. A typical possession or absorption is this kind of merge. When a Googirl or a Balloon Fox absorbs a victim, then they dominate the other side and let them become part of their own body. They are still in total control of this merge and are the dominant force. A similar case is a possession done by Selissa Blondhaar, who takes over the body of another body with her soul, dominating the other side and controlling their body fully. When a Goowolf merges with someone, then they are in full control as well most of the time.

Deadlock

If the two sides are equally strong and fight for dominance, then it can lead to a deadlock, in which neither side can take control and the body becomes paralysed. Such a merge is often short-lived and the souls will try to separate themselves from the others.

Harmony

The best case is when all sides cooperate in harmony. This merge is the strongest, as all souls control the body and unite their mental abilities into a single being. They sync their thoughts and their emotions with each other. A merge of this kind is still not a Fusion, as the souls are still separated.
