The void touched is linked to the soul of their patron. This leads to an affection of them by the desires and wishes of the patron. Playful feelings and the urge to let others float in balloons are very common for void-touched ones that have a Balloon Fox as their patron. Depending on their patron, this can lead to many different urges and desires for the void touched one. The connection can also be used for telepathic communication and let them feel each other's presence and position. It is like a warm feeling that lets them point towards their soul-linked partner easily, or in the case of the patron with many connections, to all their soul-linked partners.Balloonmancer
Being connected to the Balloon Void grants the power to control the magical balloons of the void, as well as transform any other balloon into a magical balloon of the void. This allows the alteration of density, lifting strength, and size of the balloon as well as controlling its movement. Of course, as the powers are granted by the patron, it means that a void touched one can never overpower other balloonmancers who have more direct control over balloons, especially not their patron.Void Connection
A link to the void over the soul of their patron has many benefits for the void touched one. The benefits include all the powers that the void can grant, like summoning balloons from the void and sending balloons or even trapped ones in balloons into the void. The creation of magical latex is also a huge benefit for all the kinky void touched ones. As every connection to the void is going over the soul of the patron, the patron may grant or block any request of their soul-linked partner. The patron blocks off the urges and whispers of the void for their void-touched ones, but every patron has their limits of how much they can handle. If a patron is overwhelmed by the void, then their soul-linked partners are as well. This may lead to loss of control over their own body and a direct possession of the void with the urge to hunt as many prey as possible and trap them all in balloons to send them as gifts into the void.Aging Stop
Time flows differently and is very chaotic in the balloon void. Being linked by the soul to the void means that this chaotic flow of time and the near-endless time stretching of the void influences the void-touched ones as well. Anatomy
Void touched have unnatural blue cat-like eyes. There is no other visual indicator, nor any other physical changes done by the mutation.
Genetics and Reproduction
Any race and any gender can receive the Mutation of “Void Touched” by someone whose Soul is part of the Balloon Void, like balloon foxes. The one who grants the link to the void is called the patron of the mutated one. The patron links their soul, which is part of the balloon void, to the soul of the void touched. This direct soul link can be established very quickly and without delays. It can also be revoked by the patron at any moment and from any distance to the void touched if wanted.
The patron’s soul link does not only grant the mutation and with it, access to the void with all the benefits, but also influences the void touched one. A linking between souls means that feelings and desires are mirrored from the patron to the void touched and vice versa in lesser intensity. A very strict and cold person who gets void touched by a playful and kinky patron will feel a desire to giggle, to toy around, and to get themselves into kinky situations. The longer the connection exists, the stronger these feelings and urges become.
Someone must be careful about their patron tho and the patron must be careful about whom they grant the soul connection, as it also means that the pull from the void own desires becomes stronger for the patron and is given with certain intensities to the void touched ones as well. Most of the urges from the void are blocked by the patron tho, which makes it very easy for the void touched to handle the feedback from the void. But if the patron is overwhelmed by too many desires of the void, then the void touched is also affected and possessed by the void.

Social Structure
Due to the high connection via the Soul link between the patron and the void touched, most often the two will have a common community and social circle. As nearly all patrons are balloon foxes, most void touched are goblins as goblins are the strongest connection to the balloon foxes of Shimmea and Slimea. Most of these goblins use their powers to work as Balloonmancers on the Goblin Airships.
A friendship between a patron and void touched one is very common. Often the void touched feels in debt to the patron and will help them out whenever they can to pay them back for the powers they receive through their patron and for the protection they are granted from the void.
On off days, void touched often uses their powers as a kind of entertainment and some of them even try themselves out as hunters. Being a void touched also grants them the benefit of always having access to the magical balloons of the balloon foxes and with it fun, protection, and temporary housings, as well as an easy way to transport heavy goods.
Civilization and Culture
History
The very first void touched ones were the temporary balloon foxes transformed by the permanent ones. It was not seen as a Mutation nor really explored what it means to grant someone access to the Balloon Void. The first real experiments with this connection were made by the goddess of latex Larissa in her tries to grant her followers powers without making them a part of the balloon void. Her experiments were successful and she soon gave her knowledge to her family, the balloon foxes.
While Larissa continued her experiments and eventually created the Hearttex mutation, the balloon foxes liked the idea of linking others to the void. It was only another toy for them during their hunts at first thought and had no real usage outside of entertainment.
With the creation of the Shimmean airships and the rapid growth of their numbers, the balloon foxes soon began selecting their most trusted goblins and made them into the very first permanent void touched ones. Their job was to control the giant balloons that allowed the airships to fly in the air. With the growing number of airships, the number of void touched ones grew as well.
Soon it was a part of the Shimmean airship culture that every ship had at least one void touched one on board as their Balloonmancer. The void touched ones spread the kinky joy of playful balloon sessions with their travels and soon it was a part of their culture to entertain others during their times offboard their ships. Today, the void touched is not bound to be goblins, nor to always work on an airship. The only real condition is to have a patron who grants the soul-link and with it the mutation.
