Session 10: Dad Stuff
General Summary
Adalai waking up, witnesses Killos murder, and pleads to him to fulfil his wishes. After many rejects, his final one is allowed: Tell the party to stop what’s happening (yet he never did). With that said, the last of his being fades, and his body is fully taken. Having survived the gruesome battle, those that were within the chamber regrouped. After a quick head count our heroes make their way to the mind link chamber, however they were too late, as the one standing before them was no longer their ally. With few words exchanged, and a crush of Adalai’s cherished amulet, they leave. The eye contacts the group, and brings them back to the stronghold.
Once back they tell it what went down, and how they failed to weaken the beast. Despite this, they are still treated to a winter fest feast, brought by a strange individual. All join in except for Usze, who is too depressed. Lydia tells her sister that she plans to settle down for now. Ruuch tells his son about his secret mission to kill Adalai, and Raine didn’t say much.
The next morning is spent gathering supplies mostly. Ruuch meets Arulo Kedrisk, completely hungover, and despite a rocky start they eventually hit it off quite nicely. Usze notices Palanthus is arguing with the doctor again. in the afternoon they all meet up and tell their plans. Lydia stays here, Rain will join the party and so will Arulo. They all have their own reason to do so, with Rain wanting to protect everyone and Arulo needing a crew, as well as a hand in stealing something from Saan’s possession. Usze asks Ruuch to use sending in the hopes that Adalai will reply, but alas. He hands him the (now useless) napkin.

Raine is informed by her sending leaf that her deity is in grave danger, and leaves the table to process it. Arulo leaves as well to take a bath. Usze and Lydia spend the rest of the day having fun and doing shows.
The next day Jeremiah frantically informs the party that the Blue Eye needs all of them. Once gathered, they are shown the memories of the green eye, Hassy (except for Ruuch cuz he doesn’t want people to enter his head). Hassy is confronted by his nephew, Rashall. A battle breaks out, and although the eye seems to have the upper hand, at the last moment he is drained from his power by strange bands, and murdered, but not after Rashall finds out the name of one of those affiliated with his mother’s death: Tempest'Lucia.
With all of this piling up, Usze retorts and claims to defeat Rashall and promises the blue eye to avenge his fallen brother. It will be difficult, as the other eyes see them as responsible for this tragedy. Ruuch, after much protest, agrees to come along and with this, Lydia is fully convinced to remain with Presco, and after she and Usze make their goodbyes (with Arulo trying to butt in), she finally enters Presco’s rose to hang out. While this is going on Arulo’s running mouth is frozen shut multiple times.

Before they can head off though, it seems Rain needs to cleanse her deity’s pool. With the help of Ruuch’s magic, they eventually find out the pool in question is the same pool Usze saw Adalai being reassembled in. They must now travel back to the maze with the help of a new eye residing in Sycaath, which happens to also be the place Arulo’s ship “The Gannet” is docked. They prepare to depart and are teleported outside of Traskarr. Seeing the horses are dead, they decide to walk all the way.
On their way they run into a white wolf, who then transforms into a tall white haired man. He asks the party if they have seen his son, Adalai. Usze tells him everything that has happened, and Rain helps him ask for fey horses. Afterwards Ruuch informs the father of Adalai’s true fate. The party travels further with the help of the fey horses, and at sundown they settle down and build a camp.
