Anyon the Angel
Chief Messenger Anyon Berodian Coron
An--Who?
Anyon is one of the best Messengers. He is on time, accurate in his messages, and always polite. But more than that he is loyal. He defends his master, no matter who it is. He stands by their side when they get teased, even if it is just for laughs. He makes sure his master's name is kept clean. And most importantly, he delivers their messages on time.Appearance
Anyon has a somewhat inhuman look. He has round face with pale, smooth skin; almond eyes filled with gray-blue color, and silvery hair. Behind him are large, white feathery wings.Abilities
As a Messenger Anyon can travel very quickly, he has excellent memory and can often recite conversations that happened years ago word for word.Clothing
He is typically seen wearing all-white outfits. His favorite being a white shirt with little jewels running down the front, white pants, and white shoes. If he's not wearing all-white, he's wearing some bejeweled or dazzled outfit.Accomplishments & Achievements
Anyon is the youngest angel to become Entity's Messenger.Intellectual Characteristics
Anyon is quite smart emotionally. He is perceptive and notices when someone needs comforting or cheering up.Social Aptitude
Anyon can be seen as awkward and shy. However, he is quite popular due to his good looks, charming smile, and sweet heart.Philosophy
Anyon was given two bits of advice from his parents before he left for Messenge School. His mother gave him a hug and told him, "Never stop giving your best. The moment you do that is the moment you stop succeeding. You try hard. You show this Messenger-thing what you're made of. And don't let it push you around." Anyon committed it to memory. He woke up early to study and stayed up late to review. He didn't let anyone push him around. And he showed the veterans how much work a Messenger can do when they're not lazying around.Motivation
Anyon was told two things by his parents before he left for Messenger School and never saw them again. His father told him, "Anyon, stay loyal, caring, and brave. You don't change. You stay yourself." And he tried. He tried to be brave. And loyal. And true. But things change. People change. Angels and Messengers change. Anyon just hopes he hasn't strayed from the path his parents wanted him to stay on.Meeting Anyon
He [Avron] turned around on his rock bed and pulled his legs closer. He closed his eyes and tried to go to sleep, but the cold penetrated his shoes and sank into his toes. It made its way through his fingers and up his arms. He shivered and blew on his hands, wishing the cold would just leave. But it didn’t. It slipped into his chest and started spreading to his heart.
The night was quiet. There were no creatures to fill the silent void. Nothing made a sound because nothing could make a sound. Everything was dead. The only sound that could be heard that terribly silent night was Avron’s steady breathing.
As the night wore on a loud sharp crack was heard. Avron sat up from his rock bed. He rubbed his eyes. His fingers were still freezing, and he couldn’t feel his toes. He couldn’t stop sniffling and his breath came out in a vapor.
He looked around, but couldn’t see anything. The night’s stillness freezing his heart and paralyzing his lungs. Did he dare make a sound?
“Hello.” He whispered. No answer. He cleared his throat, shattering the stillness, “Hello.” He said louder. Still no answer. He lay back down on the rock, but didn’t close his eyes. He waited, shivering in the cold, listening for that noise.
It came again a few moments later, but it wasn’t exactly a crash. He sat up again. He couldn’t tell exactly where it was coming from or what it was.
“Hello,” he said, “Who are you?”
No answer. Just the stillness of the night.
The sound came again, but it was much closer this time. He looked around, still barely able to see anything. The sound was behind him. Avron slowly turned around, and saw a face.
He shouted, and fell off his rock bed, and scrambled back. The face didn’t follow him. He stopped. A silence filled between him and the face. His heart pounded, and his breath echoed in his ears.
“What are you?” He asked, getting ready to run.
The face slowly came closer followed by a body. It was an inhuman creature, but in the best way. He stood up on the rock and looked down at Avron. He smiled, and as if that smile alone was enough, light started to shine. The sun was rising.
As it slowly got brighter and brighter, Avron saw just how inhuman he was. With a round face, and almond eyes filled with gray-blue color. He looked human. His hair was a silvery color. His skin was pale, and he wore a white shirt with little jewels running down the front. But behind him was large, white, feathery wings.
Avron stared. Wings. He had wings. Like some animal. He looked at the man’s face again, “What are you?” He asked, “You’re not a god, right?”
His smile widened, and he laughed. It was such a joyous sound that broke the terrible silence of the previous night. He leaned forward, then back, before he stopped. The smile still on his face, “No, I am not a god.” He said.
Avron almost couldn’t believe that. This guy was perfect. . . ."What are you doing out here?”
“I was going to ask you the same thing.” Anyon gracefully stepped down from the rock, folding his wings against his back. He stretched out a hand to help Avron up.
“I got lost.” He said, still staring at this man. He felt so plain and clumsy next to this him, “I should probably get going.”
Anyon nodded, “Do you mind if I come with you?”
Avron paused. . . .“Okay. Sure.”
Anyon smiled and asked “Where do you think they are?”
He looked around, “I don’t know. I made these rock piles and I was on my way back, but I couldn’t find them, and then the sun set. So I went to sleep on that rock.”
“So that’s why you were out here.” Anyon said.
Avron nodded, “If I could find the rock piles I would be fine.”
Anyon looked around, “Is it this?” He asked, walking, practically gliding, up to a neatly stacked pile of rocks.
Avron stared, “that’s it. I—I—that wasn’t there last night.” He felt so stupid. How had he missed that? Was it getting too dark and he just didn’t see, or was he too panicked to notice? “Thanks.” He muttered.
Anyon laughed, “You’re welcome.”
