WHY CAN'T I FIGURE IT OUT?!

Well, I've tried over and over and over again, and I still don't get it! I'm doing everything right. I work through the spell, slow and steady. I put in the right ingredients. I've even memorized the words! I've struggled and pushed and begged and pleaded with the gods, only to find failure at my door.
I'm tired of trying, and tired of getting it wrong! I'm tired of fighting and struggling just to find the answer! I'm tired of giving up!
But perseverance is fleeing, and stubbornness is dying at my doorstep. I find frustration and exhaustion joining together in my tears. I'll never figure out this spell. I'll never get the answer.
So, I might as well give up. Besides, the spell has been done before. Would the world really be at a loss, if I stopped trying?
Really liked the metaphors! I think this one pings for a lot of creative types with "spell" being interchangeable for whatever "creation". Its very easy to feel like your throwing your work out into the void, unappreciated or unwanted.
