Tower of Lheylebelle

Once a grand and mighty structure, the Tower of Lheylebelle now struggles to keep her footing on the shifting earth. Seasonal and elemental change have both taken their toll on her soaring form. The mountain at her back is all that keeps her from crumbling.   Despite the imminent danger the tower is in of collapsing, the still air around it creates the illusion of a peaceful atmosphere, as if the stone ruins are simply in an ancient slumber.   Just as the trees start to part, our adventurers are greeted by towering statues that stand parallel to each other on the left and right of the path. Six statues, three on either side, gaze down at the path, judging the party as they pass. However, their dutiful silence does not betray their thoughts. Each statue is clad in armor made of ancient stone and ambitious foliage, but each is significantly unique.   As the party approaches the tower, past the statues, the highest spire is still concealed by the overgrown canopy suffocating the area. Despite it being midday, only speckles of light make it through the leaves in order to illuminate the darkened stone architecture. Vines and other hardy foliage have already begun the climb up the tower, reaching up to 30 feet above the tallest party member.   Inside, there lies a great and powerful secret.

Purpose / Function

The original reason for its being has been lost to time. There is very little awareness that this building still exists and holds a purpose.   There are legends of a tower hiding the entrance to a mass labyrinth, stretching throughout the innards of a mighty mountain. Hidden within this labyrinth is a powerful artifact, one that is rumored to have the ability to grant any wish of any kind, without limits, exceptions, or consequences; The Champion's Dream.

Architecture

The tower has architectural inspiration from all different cultural origins. It is hard to place if any one race or group of people had laid claim over these ruins. Before the tower stands six mighty statues that may hold the secret of who created the tower.   Right
  • Tiefling, wrapped in its own tail and holding its own broken spiraled horn as a weapon.
  • A gnome sheathing an arrow in their quiver sits on the shoulder of a heavily armored dwarf who rests their battle hammer out before them.
  • Human with a cape that covers the right side of their body, their left hand resting on the hilt of their sheathed sword.
  Left
  • Only a pile of rubble sitting at the feet of two muscular and bare legs.
  • Slender elven statue. Almost in mint condition; its features still as sharp as they were the day they were crafted.
  • Old dragonborn, with whiskers that wrap around their tall staff and armor made from their own scale plates. Unlike the others, they seem less interested in the appearance of tiny adventurers.
