The Goddess of Decay (a.k.a. Sarin)
"The Goddess of Decay. How unusual is it that, of all the Deities of Mors, this one looks the most like Mother Death? It is said that death and decay are hand-in-hand, so it makes sense in that context. Another thing is Sarin is so... inactive, compared to the other deities that I've covered. What makes the eater of carrion so notable, that Mors granted Her with divine power?"

Divine Symbols & Sigils
The Amphista
A serpent with a head at both ends, this symbol represents a connection between life and death. The amphista is designed to be wreath-shaped, with the back of the serpent's heads touching. It is sometimes referred to as the Split-Uraeus, as it is worn by Asenic rulers; this directly refers to the Goddess' serpentine hairs.
The Bronze Scales
While Mors is Death herself, Sarin is seen as her psychopomp, especially to Her people the Asenics. It is said that She can measure a soul's purity, and oversees the collection of souls during Spirit's Leap. The scales are a direct reference to this aspect of Her life; as such, in human Tarot, She embodies the Judgement card.Tenets of Faith
- Be true to strangers: exaggeration will taint their perception of you.
- Be true to family and friends: they will support you through bad and good times.
- Be true to the world: the planet will prosper so long as you respect its many blessings.
- Be true to yourself: lying about your own potential will create unnecessary doubt within.
Holidays
Spirit's Leap: Sol 70.5 [Kairos, OR February 29th]
This holiday shares a similarity with Year's End, where the planet appears to suspend in stasis during this day. What's ominous about this day is that it is actually night, and it only happens once every four years. Spirit's Leap is the day that the ancestral dead escape Solaris and return to Mors, where the cycle of birth begins anew.Divine Goals & Aspirations
Physical Description
Identifying Characteristics
Sarin is best characterized by Her multiple snake-like hairs, which are wrapped by golden bands. Another important feature of Hers is her plantigrade legs, which posses paw pads typical of the Asena. Her face is tan in color, with brown markings that paint a skull upon it; this gives Her a more literal analogue to Mors' appearance.
Characteristic to the Asena, a vast majority of Sarin's fur is shaggy and brown, with an array of darker spots that dot the shorter surfaces-- the longer surfaces, instead, darken to brown. Her appendages, however, have short hair, and are brown-and-tan striped.
As Sarin is a multiplicity of sorts, She may have Her hair stylized in whatever manner She desires. She also may have an array of jewelry, including rings, necklaces, and other such ornaments. Asena aren't known for wearing much in the way of clothing, but if they do, they typically lean towards simple skirts, with the occasional shawl.Mental characteristics
