The Society of the Shard hunt down oortic debris and artefacts, for their own collections or on behalf of patrons. They are well known for their ability to dowse for oortic energy, and can sense an artefact from miles away.

I agree, I think you could have a lot of fun with these guys! I'd love to write more about oortic influences and artefacts soonish, which would give some more context to this society.
