The Devil of Undeath
Erzodeth was born in the depths of the Abyss, the spawn of two powerful demon lords, Drath'toth and Izzath. From a young age, Erzodeth showed a natural affinity for necromancy and the powers of death and undeath. He quickly rose through the ranks of the demon hierarchy, earning the respect of his peers and the fear of his enemies.
Despite his power and prowess, Erzodeth was constantly overshadowed by his sister, Sozreth, the Archdevil of treason. Jealous and resentful of her success, Erzodeth began to plot and scheme, seeking ways to gain power and undermine his sister's position.
Eventually, Erzodeth's ambition caught the attention of the Dark Powers, who saw potential in the demon lord's thirst for power and offered him the position of Archdevil of death and undeath. Erzodeth accepted the offer and ascended to the ranks of the Archdevils, using his new position to further his plans of power and domination.
Now, as the Archdevil of death and undeath, Erzodeth rules over the realms of the dead and the undead, commanding a vast army of the dead to do his bidding. His ambition knows no bounds, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his ultimate goal of ruling over all the realms of the Abyss.
Despite their rivalry and jealousy, Sozreth and Erzodeth have a grudging respect for each other. As siblings and fellow Archdevil's, they recognize the power and strength in each other, and often find themselves working together to achieve their shared goals. While they may not always agree on the best course of action, they both recognize the value in having a powerful ally.
Erzodeth is known for making deals with mortals, offering them the power of undeath in exchange for their loyalty and service. Those who accept his offer are transformed into liches, immortal beings bound to Erzodeth's will. These liches serve as powerful agents for the Archdevil, carrying out his bidding and helping him to spread his influence across the realms.
Erzodeth often preys on the ambition and desire for power that resides in the hearts of mortals, offering them the chance to achieve eternal life and greatness in exchange for their loyalty. However, those who make deals with the Archdevil soon find that they are no longer in control of their own fate, and are bound to serve him for eternity.
Many of the mortals who make deals with Erzodeth are powerful wizards, seeking to unlock the secrets of necromancy and gain immortality. These wizards are drawn to Erzodeth's offer, seduced by the power and knowledge that he can provide. In exchange for their loyalty, Erzodeth grants them access to forbidden knowledge and ancient spells, empowering them to become even more powerful.
However, once they have made the deal with Erzodeth, these wizards are forever bound to the Archdevil's will. They are forced to serve him and do his bidding, often carrying out dark and sinister deeds in order to further his plans. Despite their great power, these wizards are ultimately slaves to the Archdevil, condemned to serve him for eternity.
