Whirlwind

Whirlwind, the Dragonsbane Bow, is one of the four Dragonsbane Weapons. It is a longbow made from white oak and its string sewn from Northern Ansalon's Giant Forest Spider silk. Unlike the other three weapons, it was not forged by Grenir and was instead originally just an ordinary hunting bow, owned by Elphia Oakvale that was then blessed and enchanted by Agepa to aid her in her fight against a red dragon attacking her village.
After Elphia's death the bow stayed as a prized relic and the pride of the village for about a century, until King Avarus Ravenburn claimed it during his campaign to collect all items believed to be magical artifacts to the treasury's collection in Altharas. It sat there, mostly forgotten, until the destruction and burning of the city in 3171E1 of the human calendar during which it was rescued by an unknown individual who brought it to the nymphs of the Black Bark Forest for safekeeping "until a dark time when it would once again be needed". This time ended up being the Great Voraci War over a thousand years later.
After the war it was secured in the vaults in Palanthas along with the other Dragonsbane weapons.
