Spire Dormitory Cohort #3 learns about the Rain Scribe Branch from Esi and Haibram. They take their first foray into Nantambu to barter for some rare Ojofiri Chicks.

The cohort meets with Esi & Haibram at the open door of Spire Dormitory at dawn. The two older students tell the Cohort about the purpose of the Rain Scribe Branch, the branch that means to explore the world and helps other travelers make their way through uncertain territories. The two informs the cohort that the Nantambu's Kafesi Market has a bad history with some of the students and the new Cohort will have an easier time going there to buy some rare young chickens. The cohort gets a little turned around and end up at Seydou's stand who quickly proves the reason why student don't often go to the market, as he attempts to sell them general chickens. They do realize the issue, though they buy a few chicks just in case. They get better directions and make it to the correct shop after a few hours, they barter with the owner, Makena. After she sells a chick while the cohort is bartering, they agree to her price. The group splits up with Nicos tailing the other chick to see if he can buy it from the new owner. The rest take care of the newly born chicks and return to the dorm. Nicos is successful at getting another chick from its new owner and returns as well.
