Esi Djana (ES-e JAN-a)
Every school has its start pupil, and anyone who knows Esi Djana knows that she's one of them. A Nantambu native, Esi has the energy that few can match. On most days, Esi can be found organizing study groups and activities, commanding the field of several sports teams, studying foreign policy and military tactics, and still finds time for an active social life and dates with a similarly ambitious young man. Esi is known for being kind, passionate, and genuine, making sure to approach shier students who seem to trouble making friends.
Its well known that she is following the footsteps of her Tempest-Sun mother who she idolizes. Her teachers and peers know that she is going places, a fact that attracts admirers, detractors and opportunists in equal measures.
Esi's obstacles seem to come from her strengths. She is not shy about challenging her teachers, the academy administration or her peers when something can be done better. While some encourage her spirited initiative, especially Teacher Ot, others can be dismissive or hostile.
During her masking ceremony, she made a mask of the bear to signify her willingness to stand against adversity, both with action and leadership. She has no plans to ever cover her face with the mask, wanting to face the world to stay grounded and kind to others.
When the masking ceremony ended with an invasion of dozens of insects, she lead the charge to the main doors of the hall and took charge until a Lore-Speaker arrived. Afterwards she help heal as many people as she could.
