The city her self is named after the first queen or incarnation of the champion of Polaris shera a divine servant who never dies only sleeps to rise again ruling over all of Kasheeak and is said to be the one who brought the four races together to build the city to owner her mistress Polaris. As this leader is never dead and always returns in one form or another it's said to be known as the line of Polaris. The city its self is controlled by sevral parties under the line there is magi guild, the court of Polaris, the shardrain a council of reincarnated sages, Plantagenet who oversee the district guards and milaiarty, The all mouther who oversee rule of law, and tradesmen guild.
the inner core is made up the trade district a smorgis board of docs, shops, whare houses, and markets then going out where is the noble districts, middle districts, dusker district ie slums followed by the religious districts, and graveyards. every district is set up similar to this as well as number street going away from the lake and cross streets are named. each district is knowen its own shard of the heart of Polaris forming a great five side star with the last known as the lost shard devoted to Polaris her self and the line of Polaris this shard sits the head of the valley of the four races and is made up of islands as it lays within the lake its self.
