Infernals

Infernals are the creatures of Hell strange warped and exotic creatures that have evolved in the fires of the worlds core, fare from the gaze of The Radiant Sun Mother. Infernals exist in two forms, as Shadows and as Selves. The Shadows of Infernals are a projection of the the spirit of an Infernal, and these, through dark magics, can be summoned to the world above. While Shadows may be able to project their image and have a physical form of sorts they are not the true bodies of Infernals, those are known as an Infernals' Self, and an Infernal can only be permanently destroyed if this body is killed. In the past Infernals used to be able to ascend to the world above in their Self form, where they lived as Devil-Tyrants dominating the humans of the lands that would become the Satrapies Midderland and Centralis. Infernals could escape Hell by ascending the million steps of The Obsidian Tower, travelling from the fiery depths to the cursed, surface-city of Leng. Fortunately this pathway was bared to all but the most powerful Infernals during legendary crusade known as @hell when a powerful ward of flaying was placed on each step of the Obsidian Tower.
