Fusion Drive

Also known as the Quantum Fusion Drives allow for safe and quick travel within the bounds of a system. They can be outfitted on craft as small as fighters, and a proven to be reliable, quick, and over the years gotten much smaller. They require less skill and math than gate drives, and are usually reliant on scanners that have proven mostly reliable. The Fusion Drive works by bending space and time directly around the ship; the ship is technically stationary. This allows ship to make quick trips while in the bounds of a solar system, and is the most actively used drive in the galaxy. They can be used to go between solar systems, however the use of Jump Drive tech has all but made that moot except for the most desperate. Not to be confused with Jump Drive.
