Kobold
Sirshal
Kobolds are industrious yet shy crocodilian sophonts from the island of Salas. Nimble and clever, kobolds -while having considerable technology- have only very recently ventured beyond their home subchain and forged tentative alliances with the boggarts and bugbears.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Vaguely humanoid, kobolds are mesothermic and gracile, well-adapted for high-energy life in the understory. Rather unique among Sphaeran vertebrate sophonts, kobolds have no external sex-distinguishing characteristics whatsoever, and thus the entire concept of gender is completely foreign to them.
Additional Information
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Kobolds are almost exclusively found on their home island of Salas in the far south of the Thalassaterrian archipelago, though individual kobolds may venture to tropical and subtropical locations worldwide for their own reasons.
Civilization and Culture
Average Technological Level
Kobolds are known for their skill with mechanical technology and innovative uses of local materials. Salas has an advanced technoculture, on par with that of the Southern Federation, but rarely allows outside visitors due to the secretive nature of kobolds.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Kobolds speak a common language called kraol.
