Geography

Thalassaterria

So large that it is counted as its own continent in many geographical texts, Thalassaterria is an immense tropical island chain to the northeast of Sikano.

The northeastern mainland is controlled by the three gorgon tribes collectively called the Gorgonic Tribunal, who have settled the western/"inner" isles and frequently conflict with the gnollic Eian Empire of the middle islands. Bugbears are native to the Raolghaarian subchain, a small cluster of mid-eastern islands bordering the western reach of the archipelago. Said western reach is occupied by the Mauhakan Empire, which consists of the vampyres and their gnome protectorates from the Eewalese subchain to the far northeast. The boggart clans are concentrated almost entirely on the large island of Hiaal; the other islands surrounding Hiaal are occupied by the kobolds, who originated from the Salese subchain in the isolated far southeast. Faeries, karkanians, and jorogumo are scattered across the islands. The treants and tengu are present in the islands but originated on the mainland. And of course, merfolk, umibōzu, and gryndulos can be found in the shallow seas throughout the archipelago.
