Jade Golem
Jade is a material known to bring a measure of fortune to whatever is made of it. Be it trinkets, armor or even weaponry, the beautiful green stone invites a measure of luck. So crafting a guardian out of the material was the logical next step.
jade golems are often crafted by temples or religious organisations as guardians of sacred sites or protectors of pilgrims and missionaries. Tasks which the golems excel at, even more so due to the good fortune that comes so easily to them. Jade golems are often crafted with weapons that can benefit from this fortune, the most common being the chakram. With its lucky aim, a jade golem can manage truly unbelievable throws that only luck could secure.
However, this very same fortune also means that should a jade golem decide to go against its creators, it is that much harder to stop. Jade golems who have struck out on their own rarely lack for employment oppertunities, as there are many factions that would pay handsomely to hire such a powerful envoy of fortune.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Jade golems are carved from a large chunk of jade. They are usually green in color, but it can vary depending on the exact type of jade. Usually, they are carved into a bipedal form, with two legs and two arms, but some do vary.
As constructs, they are unaffected by many things that affect organics, like poison, disease and other such conditions. They are often designed to be very statuesque, which gives them a measure of natural camouflage. Jade is a great conductor for fortune and being made from it does seem to make these golems luckier.
The core of Mist that animates them makes them greatly resistant to magic, especially earth magic which they are completely immune to.

Social Structure

Uses, Products & Exploitation
While jade golems are sometimes still used to explore the Mist, which their inherent luck makes easier, most are created as temple guardians and protectors of churches. This role can be more or less active, with some jade golems posing as statues for years before they're called to action.
