Obsidian Golem

First crafted by societies of old as guardians of the tribe, the obsidian golem may just precede all other types of golems. Unique from other constructs due to being animated by a core of Mist , obsidian golems were inherently intelligent but servile, and resistant to the Mist to booth. Thus it was golems mages turned to when they needed the perfect explorer to find new spheres.   Designed as guardian, obsidian golems excel at combat. Their utilize all their limbs in combat for bloody efficiency and like attacking from elevated positions to lend the weight of gravity to their charges.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Obsidian golems are often carved in a bipedal form, with two arms, two legs and a head. Being made of obsidian, they are black in coloration. This material also makes them immune to earth magic and offers some degree of protection against fire. The obsidian also makes any edge on the golem very sharp and every single limb is a deadly weapon more than capable of slicing a human to ribbons. Like all golems, they are animated by a powerful Mist core, which provides some protection against spells.
