Pegasus
Pegasi are winged, sapient equines with an innate connection to the weather, being innately protected from storms and capable of settling on banks of mist and clouds as if it was solid ground. They are social and friendly, getting along with most other species, but are also very independent. Few pegasus herds care about notions like borders and ownership of the land, though if conflict is brewing, they tend to move on rather than fight.
But if they feel flying away isn't an option, they can be fierce fighters, attacking as a group and pulverizing enemies with blows from their hooves and wings. Their hide is magically tough and offers them a good amount of protection that may take foes by surprise.
