Vorelia
Hunter Vorelia Mellowave (a.k.a. The Devourer)
Vorelia is one of the Azi Empire's hunters, an acquisition specialist and tracker. So with that description in mind, most people expect something more regal and stately that the pudgy strand dragon Vorelia, who habitually licks random items just to learn its taste. Yet as relaxed and slow as she appears, Vorelia didn't get a title out of pity. She is a skilled pursuit hunter, capable of tracking by land, air or sea as needed. She's incredibly tought, a trait empowered by her fusing with an Aeon Relic, and can thus survive blows that would knock other dragons straight to the ground. And she's very knowledgeable, whenever she can be bothered to remember it. All this makes her very skilled at her job and she is trusted by her peers, even if they also occasionally find themselves rolling their eyes and her antics.
Vorelia is a hedonist, who most of all enjoy food, but all other physical pleasures are close seconds. She thinks with her guts, both in the sense that she follows her instincts and that she tends to go where her hunger takes her. While this has occasionally lead her astray, such as when she decided swallowing an Aeon Relic was the best way to safeguard it, it has also seen her safely through numerous situation.
Vorelia rarely takes battles too seriously, as few beings can challenge her in any meaningful way. She uses her lure to pacify opponents or if that fails grabs them with her limbs. And then her foes' usual fate is to be shoved inside her like so much popcorn. As Vorelia has perfect control of her innards, this is not necessarily a death sentence, but this is probably little comfort to whomever finds themselves trapped in her bowels.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Vorelia is both strong and fast, as befitting a skilled and swift swimmer. She is also tough, both intenrally and externally, having proven on occasions that she can handle point blank cannon fire without issues.
Facial Features
Unique among her kind, Vorelia has a lure dangling from her forehead hat glows with a mystic, purple light.
Special abilities
Vorelia posesses an incredible control over her anatomy, allowing her to consciously control her internal organs. This allows her to use her stomach as a sort of inventory for items or jail for captured people without having to worry that she'll accidentally digest them, further helped by her innards being as tough as her exterior.
The artefact that she swallowed has enhanced her in several ways and granted her powers abnormal to her kind, including but not limited to the ability to conjure fog, use the lure on her forehead to hypnotize people, recover speedily from wounds, produce a supernatural venom from her teeth as well as strengthening her body considerably.
Specialized Equipment
Ever since swallowing an ancient relic backfired, Vorelia has carried a magical bag that is bigger on the inside than the outside. This bag was given to her by her superiors and she was ordered to use it to hold any other objects. If she then wanted to swallow the bag, which is acid proof, then that was her prerogative.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Vorelia was born in the Azi Empire in 2448 AIT to the Mellowave family, a lineage of strand dragons known for being excellent scouts and explorers. Already as a young kid, Vorelia took to exploring the areas around her parents den, investigating whatever plants, landmarks and animals caught her attention, usually followed by her attempting to eat them.
In 2457 AIT her parents enrolled her in a junior scouting program, where young dragons where trained in the basic arts of wilderness survival and at the same time helped keep taps on the Empire's territory.
In 2459 AIT, Vorelia underwent The Primal Awakening, like most dragons of the empire. Afterwards, she elected to continue in the scouting business.
As she grew older, Vorelia's skills for finding things and people became acknowledged by the elders, who granted her the title of Hunter in 2553 AIT. With this came her biggest job yet. Hunting down a Aeon Relic called the Light of Command in the wilderness far beyond the Azi Empire's reach and return it safely. She managed to find the relic after quite the long journey and promptly swallowed it, under the logic that it would be the safest place for it to be. By the time she returned, it had fused into her flesh, defying any attempts at dislodging it in a way that wouldn't also jeopardize her health. As Vorelia's body began changing from exposure to the ancient artefact, frustrated dragon sages concluded that the relic would remain in her until her death.
In 2985 AIT while hunting a fugitive, Vorelia found that her target was pursued by another, the Nodorealian pirate hunter Lena Spinello and her crew, servants of the noble house of Cozzolino. Vorelia found to her surprise that the elf and her crew could actually match her and, even though Vorelia ended up catching the fugitive first, it was only barely. Since then, she's found herself occasionally pursuing the same prize as Lena, something she's come to greatly enjoy. She doesn't always win and the elven pirate has snatched up her fair share of prizes, but for Vorelia, that is part of the fun. The two occasionally also meet under less competitive circumstances, where they have been known to share drinks and tales of whatever they've been up to lately.
Gender Identity
Vorelia identifies herself as female
Sexuality
Omnisexual. Like with food, Vorelia is all about trying out as many different things as possible. Her warped internal biology also allows her to consume and regurgitate partners without any harm to them, something she greatly enjoys doing and always try talking partners into trying.
Education
Vorelia is fairly well educated, having received the general tutoring available to citizens of the empire and then received more specialized training in not only wilderness survival, but tracking and history too.
Employment
Vorelia currently work as a hunter for the Azi Empire, meaning she specializes in acquiring things and people beyond the borders of the empire.
Accomplishments & Achievements
While it's recovery was a bit botched, Vorelia is really proud of her tracking down the Light of Command and subsequently gaining access to its power.
In 2991 AIT, Vorelia caught wind that the pirate captain Rosa Ballester had knowledge of a hidden pirate treasure. Gaining this information wasn't a challenge, as Rosa was a braggard without equal, but chasing her down over a period of five days certainly was, not helped by Lena Spinello being on the same case and trying to get her too. Vorelia managed to catch the pirate first and got the info from her, putting her on the track to find the treasure.
Failures & Embarrassments
In 2989 AIT, Vorelia tracked a Aeon Artefact to Marcalido, only to find an ancient treasure trove sans treasure. She managed to track down the pirates responsible, a ship lead by Admiral Oliver "Octupus" Rey, at a nearby harbor town. The pirate immediately surrendered and offered to give the relic to Vorelia, something she was rather unsurprised by, as humans in her homesphere tend to be very deferential to dragons.
He offered her that she could partake in his crew's victory feast, as a gesture of goodwill now that they had taken the treasure Vorelia had her eyes on. She was presented with a delicious buffet table and, being prone to thinking with her stomach, agreed. Ten minutes later, the enchantments on the piles of cardboard boxes faded and a furious Vorelia immediately set off to catch the admiral. She never did manage to track him down and she's been nursing a grudge against the pirates of New Pezi ever since.
Intellectual Characteristics
Despite her education and intelligence, Vorelia prefers to rely on her instincts and gut feelings. Those are, however, sharp enough to see her through things most of the time. She sees the world as composed of thousands of individually unique moments to be enjoyed and feels that too much concern about the future is just unhealthy. Her draconic nature shows in her more predatory side and she has no compunctions about treating other sapient beings as prey if she feels it is appropiate.

Despite her size, she handles small items with great care, a useful quality for one who is employed to retrieve things that may be quite fragile.
