Weavers
Description
A race of sentient beings of immense power, the Weavers came to this universe from somewhere beyond its edge. No one knows the truth of their homeland, and likely couldn't fully comprehend it if they did. These beings natural form is of colossal spiders of a range of bright colours, with patterns of oranges, reds, and yellows that reflect the kaleidoscope of colour in the Astral Sea over a black underlayer.
They communicate primarily through telepathy, and wield magics of a power to shape the universe. While they cannot appear on the material plane in their full form, aspects of their being, and avatars of their will are known to appear across the galaxy from time to time, guiding the beings they helped to create and implementing the will of Cynwy - Weaver of Fates, who uses her power to draw together the Ley Field energies into the Great Web, which guides the fates of life, and the trajectory of the universe through time to some end that only she knows.
As higher dimensional beings, the Weavers do not experience time as mortals do, but rather as a physical and manipulatable material in the universe. This makes them ageless, and verging on immortal. Weavers can only be killed by beings of a similar scale of existence and power.
Civilization and Culture
Courtship Ideals
The Weaver's familial nature means that procreation and courtship is not a part of their behaviour. As all life does, however, they sought to pass on their legacy, to have their own form of children, and thus drew together the energies of the universe to form matter and guided it to the evolution of life.
History
The Weavers first made themselves known in visions to Salemon Saikar, who would ignite the founding of their worship and eventually their faith, The Way of the Weavers.
They do not themselves know the full truth of their origin, only that they are all family, brothers and sisters weaving their path through the universe.
