Fin-Allan Government District

South of the fortress, the government district is bisected by the walls that largely encircle the elven portion of the city. Containing bureaucratic offices, the town hall, the courthouse, and the gatehouse just beyond the walls, this district is where the average person’s business with the Exodite government will be conducted, and where the council representatives of the guilds and nobles meet to petition the mayor. An exodite jail and a public square sit on the south side of the district, adjacent to the market district. The Fin-Allan Gatehouse lies in the northern half of this district, just south of the fort of Dun Culain. While the gates of the elven part of the city are guarded and entrance sometimes denied to non-elves, the Gatehouse holding the portal to the Borderworld is forbidden to non-elves without a special permit from the Exodite town hall.
