Guld's Crown
The crown of the last reigning dynasty of Cymbar, this symbol of the Guld dynasty's past glory now sits unused on display in the city hall at Moorhan. Originally commissioned by the legendary Clavius Guld's father, the crown was worn in court by rulers of the Guld dynasty for several generations until its last wearer, Brynwen Guld lost her head at the hands of the Exodites.
Crafted by a Kilthish Dwarven goldsmith over 250 years ago, the crown resided on the heads of kings and queens until the Exodites took it into Fin-Allan following Brynwen's rebellion. The confiscation of the royal crown on top of the loss of the monarchy itself was a major sore point for the Khelish nobility who lobbied their new governor extensively to have the crown returned to Khelish hands. 15 Years after the end of the rebellion, the governor finally acceded and had the crown delivered to Moorhan where it now sits.
In modern times, Guld's Crown is another symbol of Cymbar's lost past as an independent nation. In more jingoistic circles, the crown is mentioned in the context of a human descendant of the Guld dynasty wearing it once more. The Exodites, for their part consider the crown one of the more inconvenient aspects of Clavius Guld's legacy. Though the monarchy existed for several decades under Exodite vassalage, in the modern Cymbarite imagination the monarchy and the crown have become synonymous with independence.

The crown is made with a purple velvet cap set into a tall golden circlet, with 2 crossing arches of gold over the top, the golden circlet is adorned on the sides with small multicolored gemstones, with a large oval ruby set upon the arch at the top. The golden circlet is not particularly thick, and the crown is slightly lighter than might be expected for its hefty and imposing outward appearance.
