Knights of the Winged Sword
The Knights of the Winged Sword are religious military order, led by the Commander Ukkasen, son of Grenton. They are paladins of the divine Ukho, and dedicated servants of their Lord. They originally served as guardians at the cathedral of Mandoreth throughout the Frost War. After the war, the migrated south, first to Doltrek and later settling in the city of Rodessa.
The name "winged sword" (pronounced with two syllables as: WING-ed), was a prophetic foreshadowing of Ukkasen's discovery of the lost Sword of Renown: Sanctica, the Sword of Light. However, the name is more commonly associated with the wing-like pennants affixed to the saddle of the knights' horses.
