Swords of Renown

The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

The Seven Great Swords of Renown were forged within the Flame of the Crucible in ages past, by a legendary Fae prophet known as Cierethian the Forger. Each of these Swords became a means by which God has conveyed his miraculous and mighty power.
The Swords of Renown symbolize the Word of God, through which his power is revealed as living and active. Each Sword represents a particular aspect of the Word, corrosponding to an element or form of natural power, as follows:

• Niminora: the nurturing Word of Creation (copper)

• Atressa: the graceful Word of Blessing (green)

• Reggál: the ruling Word of Authority (blue)

• Elnar: the flaming Word of Wrath (red)

• Miirdomar: the dark Word of Fear (black)

• Sanctica: the brilliant Word of Enlightenment (white)

• Valkstar: the swift Word of Hope (gold)

Over the centuries, the Swords of Renown have been carried by many bearers of different peoples and nations. Legends suggest that the functions and powers of the swords adapt in a limited way to the personality and character of the bearer.
