The Ascension is the climactic historical event in which the Seven Great Swords were returned to the Crucible, and the Swords and the Crucible were suddenly taken up into the heavens. Thereafter, the power of the Flame came to rest on the remnant of the Bearers, who were led forth from the Hall of the Crucible by the Apostle Emarto.
