EXCERPTS FROM SECRETARY  MAYA █████'S NOTES TAKEN AT THE O-5 COUNCIL'S SITE 40 SEMI-ANNUAL VEGAS RETREAT/BUDGET REVIEW, 12/31/93:

• The meeting hasn't even begun and Director Peña has already sweated through his second back-up shirt. The Council's memetic powers, I've done all I can with anti-perspirants. 
• The Mc40's readily accepted the mission, they should be able to intercept the object from the Global Occult Coalition's German agent downstairs with ease. Other Groups of Interest may try to interfere with the mission but the Mc40's already has extensive experience dealing with rival orgs.
• Simon is sticking to the talking points, making sure to emphasize the lowered mortality rates and successful missions from this fall. Thankfully, Salt Lake City and the Virginia Mountains have not been mentioned yet. 
• First update from the Mc40's: they obtained the item, but the GOC agent holding onto it was incinerated in a restroom near the concert hall. There was some kind of encounter with Marshall, Carter, & Dark's blonde-haired agents, and the Soviets may be involved as well. 
• Simon is on the defensive, struggling to stick to the talking points as the O-5 grills him on the broken Scranton Reality Anchor. He's making a lot of lofty promises, ones that Site 40 would struggle to meet. 
• Second update from the Mc40's: The Soviets nearly intercepted the item in question, but it's now secure in the hotel room. MC&D agents were scared off by intimidating threats and gunfire, leaving behind obscene amounts of money. Agents have taken defensive positions around the hotel hallways, no updates on Lee and others down in the casino...
