History
As engineering of the body became more widespread and even commonplace, some started to wonder: "How far can we go?"
Whether starting as artist or cybernetic engineer the lines started crossing and impressive and artistic cybernetics started flooding social media.
As it caught wind, several artists and organizers got together to set up the first Bodification Days festival on @Cen, where the Richats quickly make sure to get the lions share of the events, making at least part of the celebration an elitist thing, but as a festival of the people, who infamously are not welcome in Richat itself, The Ring became the main stage for the festivities.
Historically the festival has focused more on cybernetic prosthetics, but as research related to bioengineering and gene modification progressed, these were included in the festival too.
After The Techno-Corps Uprising, cybernetics lost a lot of popularity, which really paved the way for organic alternatives to extreme body modifications.

Execution
There are many disciplines and events taking place over the span of these two weeks, several of which have become traditions in their own right:
A high-end fashion show with a televised model runway has been a staple since the beginning.
A parade though the main street and each sector of The Ring hosting a convention where lucky goers can possibly get some modifications done themselves.
The festival gives good opportunity to buy new tech and parts from artisans and experts, as well as possibly getting worked on by an artistic master in the field, as the event brings many of the most qualified to the planet.
A large part of the events is showcases and physical disciplines.
Besides the official events, the event brings a lot of seedy people offering cheaper solutions to the many tourists, entranced by the fascinating modifications on display, all ready to be let into hidden backrooms to get offbrand implants without noticing the missing liver till they're off planet again.

Observance
Bodification Days is always the first two weeks of summer.
I made this world because my mind keeps rambling, and instead of stopping it, I'm riding the wave.
It started with a picture in my mind of a tiger man in a small spacecraft following a giant tiger in space, in the tone of old saturday morning cartoons and the Heavy Metal animated movie.
Then came the idea of his occational ally, a woman in space flying a small asteroid. The more I wrote on her, the more I got intrigued by the past, I deviced.
Right now the flow is focused on her background - namely all related to The Genesis Project.
I do all of the writing and almost all of the drawing myself at this point.
My hope for Star Tiger is a published story or a graphical novel, but my big dream is an animated show.
