Czerka Corporation

Czerka is the Galaxy's most powerful company. Involved in almost every industry imaginable, Czerka's subsidiaries are almost impossible not to deal with. Though the Galactic Republic's official stance towards Czerka is frosty - owing to their extensive dealings in slaves and wanton disregard for the rights of Republic citizens - it relies heavily on Czerka to keep the wheels of the Galaxy turning.
On Ord Trasi, Czerka established a presence around a century ago, appropriating large landholdings from the colonists who originally settled there. They have since used this land to build a significant mining and production empire on the planet, running valuable cargoes into the capital of Trasimar from the far-flung reaches of the planet.
