Naboo
A temperate world, Naboo is currently the Capital of The Republic, serving as its main governing body since the loss of Coruscant from their influence. As one of the major core worlds, access to the rest of the galaxy is protected by a large standing fleet supplied by the republic navy.
Humans - Civil to a fault, the citizens of the Naboo take great pride in their current status as Capital of the Republic. Many families choose to train their children in the arts of diplomacy, hoping their family can establish its name as a long-lasting political dynasty.
Capital of Naboo, and the de facto capital of The Republic, Theed is one of the largest cities for planets that are not an ecumenopolis. A pre-planned urban center, it is divided into several districts that span miles with millions living within its borders. Positioned on the side of a cliff, the city is split into the upper and lower quarters - the lower quarter focused on commerce and industry, the upper quarter focused on residence and government service.
CLIMATE
A relatively calm planet, Naboo is one of the few planets not affected by severe weather patterns, not overrun by dangerous wildlife (at least on land), yet still untouched by the overurbanization of many worlds like Coruscant and Nar Shaddaa. Large freshwater lakes and oceans dominate a large portion of the surface, with many swamps where Gungan cities thrive. With mild seasons, the planet yields large amounts of produce for its citizenry and allows for major trade throughout the year.LIFEFORMS
Non-Sentient
While much of the fauna on Naboo has been domesticated, certain areas still house many wild versions of their tamed brethren. In particular, the aquatic creatures still pose a significant threat to the unprepared traveler, often requiring aid from local the government to rescue the lucky stranded individuals or reclaim what's left of the unlucky ones.

Bursa - Large carnivorous predators, the hyena-like creatures nest along the gungan controlled swamps hunting small creatures and occasionally, the stray villager. Bristle-backed with large tusks, they can be a fearsome adversary for unprepared travelers - hunting in packs and swarming those furthest away from the main group. While territorial, they will only attack if the believe they can win or if they feel threatened enough that their self-preservation is at stake.
Fambaa - One of the few terrestrial megafauna on Naboo, the fambaa is a huge amphibian unique in the fact that they have adaptable hides, soft and slippery in water while becoming hard and scaly if out of water for long durations. Used as work animals by gungans and nabooans, they can often be found near construction sites and some have even been employed in armies equipped with portable shield generators.
Kaadu - A domesticated species, the reptavian animals are often employed by gungan settlements as both mount and work animal. Bipedal and visually similar to a large plucked chicken, they are highly adaptable to many environments and are intelligent enough to learn various commands.
Sentient
Naboo is an idyllic planet for terrestrial settlement, while large bodies of underwater are habitable the safe areas are already colonized by gungan cities.
Humans - Civil to a fault, the citizens of the Naboo take great pride in their current status as Capital of the Republic. Many families choose to train their children in the arts of diplomacy, hoping their family can establish its name as a long-lasting political dynasty.
Gungans - Dominating the underwater spaces on Naboo, the gungans have strong trade and diplomatic relations with their land brethren. Often misunderstood by other races as being luddites, gungan technology and culture focuses more on living with nature rather than exploiting it.
HISTORY
For the longest time Mygeeto was neglected by galactic civilizations due to the belief that it was a dead world - one of the many solar bodies that cannot support life naturally. This changed when a Czerkafreighter was forced into an emergency landing during a fight with raiders. It was after the crew was forced to abandon their vessel that they learned a race did inhabit the world - they were merely living under, rather than on it.
With sole knowledge of life on Mygeeto, Czerka was quick to form profitable treatise with the Lurmen people, solidifying their economic hold on the planet and providing the natives with access to the galactic market. Having finally acquired a significant world within the Core systems, Czerka heavily invested in geological surveys and surface infrastructure for industrial development. These investments quickly paid off in the form of various highly-desired minerals and crystals used by many civilizations throughout the galaxy, thus further increasing Czerka's economic powers throughout the galaxy.
