Dr. Davessi Syrus

Davessi Syrus is a human physicist and biologist that currently oversees the Unscrupulous' advanced scientific research facilities that were installed to the ship shortly after Task Force 163's formation in mid 1 BBY. He also assists the ships medical droids if necessary.

Syrus was born to a wealthy family on the core world Esseles. He always showed an interest in science and with the support of his family he graduated from one of the best universities on Coruscant.

During the events of the Clone Wars, Esseles was taken by CIS forces, after which Syrus returned to his home world and helped his family to organize the Republic loyalist resistance movement.
During a CIS raid on one of his families hideouts he unfortunately lost one of his arms, but thanks to his families efforts the planet was successfully retaken by the Republic before the end of the war.

After the formation of the Galactic Empire, Syrus started working on state-funded research project, first on Esseles and later on Coruscant.
In 1 BBY he was eventually approached by members of the Imperial Security Bureau and offered a position in a top-secret research project under the command of Fleet Admiral Myrko Kerrith.
He accepted and was transferred to the deep-space research facility codenamed "Aegis" where he personally oversaw the retrofitting of the Unscrupulous, which was supposed to serve as a mobile research facility amongst other things.

When the project's focus shifted due to the collapse of the Galactic Empire Syrus volunteered to stay aboard the Unscrupulous to help complete Task Force 163's mission and keep the Empire alive.
