Ancient Mandalorian Armor
In ancient times, nearly 4000 years before the Republic as it is known in this time, Mandalorians were warriors and artisans. They crafted armor of the finest metals Mandalore had to offer and they protected their wearer against even the strongest blows. Especially those of the Jedi they fought against in the wars of the past. Like the modern Mandalorian Armor, it is composed of the same pieces worn over a bodysuit. Often, these types of armors were passed down, where clan markings have been engraved upon them along with other customizations it received over the years as it was passed down from one generation to the next. Other times, it lies in ruins lost to time and history. Markings fade and dents and scratches remain from the last battle it was in. Any paint that was once on it when it was made is long gone and all that remains is the cool grey of the Beskar metal beneath.
Ancient Mandalorian Battle Armor
Mandalorian Battle Armor was a powered set of armor often used by front line soldiers during the Old Republic. It protected the user just efficiently as heavy armor, but because joints at the limbs were mechanized, it allowed for faster movement speeds. This was often used by specialists on the field where extra protection was necessary, but not at the expense of movement.
Ancient Heavy Mandalorian Armor
The Heavy Mandalorian armor was a full suit of armor with plates and pieces that covered most parts of the body excluded small areas around the joints to allow slow movements. This was often used by Heavy Soldiers and those that took the brunt of forces on the front lines and by bomb-defusing squads.
Ancient Assault Mandalorian Armor
A lighter version of the Heavy Mandalorian Armor, Padded Mandalorian Armor was made of smaller pieces of Beskar to give the user much more movement and less material weighing them down in combat. This was more often used by close combat specialists and those that fought at medium distances.
Ancient Leather Mandalorian Armor Value
Made from leathers from the toughest of the local Fauna, be it a predator or prey, is composed of cured leathers that are sewn into intricate layers and patterns designed to protect the user without weighing them down too much. This was often the armor of assassins and long-range fighters such as snipers and siege technicians. It allows for fast and unrestricted movement, at the cost of extra protection. Compared to their medium and heavily armored counterparts, this armor did not protect against lightsaber strikes or only partially protected against blaster fire.

Significance
This armor is made of a rare metal Beskar , a material once found in abundance on the homeworld of Mandalorians, Mandalore, and one of the few materials that can repeal lightsaber strikes. The resource now depleted, Mandalorians feel these armor pieces should be returned to their people to be repurposed.
Additional Bonuses
Helmets Mandalorian Helmets cover their users' faces completely. Because of this and its design, electronic devices are often built into the helmet to aid their user. As a result, Mandalorians that wear a helmet receive the following bonuses: +2 Spot +2 Listen Darkvision (RCRB page 331) Ranged Penalties are reduced by ½. Mounted Weapons Mandalorians often mounted weapons onto their armor to be used when a blaster pistol or rifle was not readily available or inconvenient to use in specific situations. They often gave the element of surprise and gave Mandalorians a small advantage. The table below details the different armor types and the limits to the number of mounted weapons and objects it can hold.
