Jedi Trials of Knighthood (Rules and Gameplay)

The Jedi Trials, also known as the Trials of Knighthood, Jedi rituals, or Jedi ceremonies, were the challenges Jedi Padawans were given as pre-requisites for achieving Knighthood and were sometimes retaken by Knights to earn the rank of Jedi Master. The trials were administered by the Jedi High Council to any Padawan they deemed worthy of becoming a Jedi. The primary trials were a set of five and were the Trial of Skill, the Trial of Courage, the Trial of the Flesh, the Trial of Spirit, and the Trial of Insight. In addition, the Council could assign substitute tests or use an exceptionally trying mission in place of the traditional tests. Like the Initiate Trials, these tests were required to be taken in order to proceed to the next rank in the Jedi Order.   The Jedi Knight Trials are tests which were meant to prove a Padawan's abilities and dedication to the ways of the Jedi. They were difficult tests that sometimes took years to pass for some Padawans. The nature of each trial varies based on the discretion of the Jedi Council. Tests could be completed at the Jedi Academy or were missions that were extremely difficult and/or dangerous. In times of war, the difficulty was sometimes lessened as knights were needed on the front lines.
To complete the Knight Trials, a Padawan must pass FIVE(5) Tests:
  1. The Trial of Skill
  2. The Trial of Courage
  3. The Trial of the Flesh
  4. The Trial of Spirit
  5. The Trial of Insight
Once ALL of the trials have been completed the Padawan has become a Jedi Knight. As a result, the Jedi gains access to all the gameplay benefits specified as part of their class( Benefits in this regard mean the bonus Knight Feat one acquires according to the various classes outlined in the Revised Core Rulebook on pages 59 and 62 ).
